The Journey

2017 - 2019

From the beginning of my career, I have worked in the events space - specifically for Adobe as well as Check Point Software Technologies. The goal was simple - it was to drive registration, foot traffic and visitation to these events.

I’ve carried on these learnings when I was leading marketing at TEDxHaymarket - a volunteering gig, where I grew adept to the different challenges that were faced by any marketer - limited budget as well as limited resources. Nonetheless, these learnings were able to gear the brand into a success by honing into organic-led channels and prioritizing spend (however little we may have) in the right areas.

Furthermore, a year later I embarked on a new challenge to rebrand TEDxHaymarket to TEDxNewtown with the goal to expand audience targeting as well as allow room for diversity in terms of event location and speaker selection. Together with the Founder for both local TEDx events, we were able to achieve stretched targets through effective storytelling.

2020 - 2024

During this period, I transitioned from field marketing into digital marketing at education tech-start up Academy Xi. I was leading digital marketing, website design as well as managing the website itself - and also, effectively scaling the company through a test and learn approach during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shortly after, I landed a role at Google and had the pleasure to work with hundreds of small to medium sized businesses and delivered digital strategies that were able to teach clients on how to better manage their ads account, build efficient mechanisms as well as help them understand their point of diminishing returns.

From here, I moved onto Amazon and led search strategy for Amazon Flex Australia where I produced a localised approach to ensure the right messaging was delivered towards the right audience at the right place.

PRESENT

Fast forward to today, although I am currently freelancing as a side hustle - I want to extend these services to other small to medium sized businesses that are in need of assistance as I have a passion to deliver a voice to those who need it.

Meaning of the logo

I believe for any business to deliver an effective marketing strategy is to first focus on the engine that needs to be tended which is highlighted in brown to indicate the soil (or the seeds) planted to foster the groundwork - with the leaf coloured green to indicate aspects of growth or what is needed to fuel that growth. It is where throughout my career, I have worked with budgets both big and small and no matter the size of the business - the engine that is key to reaching your goal is the narrative engine - essentially: what is your story and how do you want to own your voice?

Thank you

From the bottom of my heart, I want to sincerely say thank you for supporting The Narrative Engine! It’s been absolute journey building this business from scratch - but most certainly, has also been rewarding. I look forward to working with you and build a digital solution for your business through storytelling.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or book a free consultation to discuss any matter of interest.

Thanks again,
Vivian
